Fun at the lake!

Memorial Day was so much fun.

the kids had a blast...Dakota LOVED riding on the tube, then on the boat, and just playing on the shore. He went to hang out with Daddy who was fishing and told his Daddy this "I just love how the wind makes that sound on the water and then the water sounds so nice" ♥ Awww!

Lily couldn't get enough of throwing shells, rocks, and sticks in the lake.

Flags twenty eleven?

Just a bit of randomness here....





Lily has been seeing flags everywhere with the upcoming holiday weekend. And she pipes up, "Mommy, LOOK! I see flags twenty eleven." It took me a second to realize what she was saying...but I finally understood. See I like to browse Old Navy when they have their sales....so, we have quite an assortment of Flag shirts...and the latest are our matching Flag 2011 T-shirts for vacation. I guess I visit Old Navy too much...but hey! on the bright side, Lily is recognizing double digits!!

whew!! It's a new week...and we are closer to the end of school (5 more days!!) and our family vacation!!

I can't wait. I've been browsing online for fun things to do with the family...and getting tips from friends and family. We are heading to the Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge area. We already have lodging reserved!

I'm so excited...ready to leave now!

We did have some fun this weekend...we headed to Louisiana Boardwalk...visited a few stores and had lunch at Fuddruckers. The kids LOVED it!! And we finished just in time...the rain came down and it poured almost the whole way back home.
