To those following my blog...This post might sound redundant of a previous post.

I hate teething!  I know it's a process that MUST happen but why must it be so painful for the baby and all those around. Leia is having the worst time cutting her incisors and molars Yes! it's that time already.
I'm alternating Tylenol and Motrin, rubbing Benadryl on her gums, offering chilled pacifiers I think she's breaking herself from the paci right now, and offering fingers foods that help rub the gums a bit while eating.

At least, she is sleeping a bit better. She still whines alot and needs extra cuddles at night, but she is sleeping nonetheless. We are also dealing with ear infections right now. We are half way finished with her antibiotics. I'm hoping the ear infection is just about cleared up. We go back to the doctor on Monday for a recheck. The doctor will then decide if we need to see an ENT.

On a different note, Summer break is coming to a close. The kids don't start school til August 28th. Starting next month, we'll have school registration, meet the teacher, and last minute school supply shopping. Lots to do with 3 kiddos in tow, but I'll pull out my cape for these adventures.

ups and downs

Leia is crawling and climbing on everything. She got a bit stuck here..but don't worry, she figured it all out

Leia's super cranky right now...why? She has ear infections in both ears :( The crankiness comes and goes...at this time, she wasn't too happy about Mommy not holding her.

My big kids...Dakota and Lily.

Glimpse of our quick outing

Fun times at the new splash park here in town. We decided last minute to meet up with some friends. So much fun!!

Snapped a cool picture...perfectly refreshing for a hot summer day :)

Dakota found one of his friends from school at the splash park...Win Win!

Leia was so ready for her nap...after a little water fun and some yummy snacks, she was ready to go home.

 The girls with Mommy

I'm sorry for the lack of posting here on the blog. I was really trying to do better...really.

so...I'll list some happenings in our lives lately:
  • Leia is really cruising the furniture now
  • My niece, Samantha, turned 8 yrs old.
  • We had rain...in JULY! that's a biggie for TX.
  • I've started back to the gym...now that everyone is over their summer colds. I hope talking about it didn't jinx my good fortune.
  • Jed's job is keeping him busy...This is good and bad.
  • A new splash park has opened in our area
  • Leia's eating more table foods
  • Lily watched the Olympic Trials and is eagerly awaiting the Olympic Games on July 27th
  • Dakota still has a love for Legos and Star Wars
  • and...Me...well, I'm just trying to stay caught up on life...Pinterest is my new Go-To internet spot for DIY and recipes. And I'm feeding my photography addiction by taking part in a Picture-A-Day game on Facebook.
Well, that's about all I can think of right now...I'm sure there's more. When I think of it, I'll add it.

Beating the heat

The summer is heating up for us. But so thankful, it's not as hot as last summer. I feel for the people in the north east that have been dealing with 100+ degree temps. They definitely aren't used to them...and let me tell you, they are NOT fun.
The heat literally sucks the energy from you and it makes the kiddos cranky.

We decided to beat the heat here with some splash park fun. Our town recently opened a new splash park. The kids LOVED it!! It was the perfect way to end our Saturday.

+kiddos

I just love these kiddos...Yes, they have a way of pushing all my buttons at once. And they make me wish I had actually taken those naps way back when I was little. And I constantly question my sanity each and every hour (seriously). But times like these that remind me, it's all worth it.
