Miracle Grow...overnight?!

My kiddos are growing up...and lately, it seems all too real.
I knew one day it would eventually happen...but I never imagined overnight.

I'm sure once Baby #3 arrives, my kids will look and feel like giants compared to the tiny baby.

Belly Laughs

Lily was super quiet this morning...finally she emerges from her room sporting a "belly" just like mommy....aka a soccer ball under her t-shirt. She thought she was SO funny.

I had Kota take a quick picture of Lily and Mommy with their "bellies"...and then Kota wanted a try at "sporting the belly", too!! He really got into it...hahaha! He even tried lying down on the couch...of course, on his belly. He said that he couldn't...and I replied, "see! that's how mommy feels!"

Hope you enjoy our early morning "belly shots".

Big Brother/ Big Sister

It's late again...so what do you think is happening with me?
I can't sleep!! and when I do get comfy, the baby moves and then I need to get up to go potty...again! Just the joys of pregnancy

We are at 29 weeks!! Getting closer to the end. When I say that I am due in October, it seems SO FAR away...but thinking that I only have 11 weeks left (give or take a few)...makes it seem SO MUCH closer!

The only sad part about having another baby is that now Lily is NOT my baby..and she reminds me constantly. While lying on the bed today, Lily climbed up to listen to Baby Weia (she says it with a 'w' sound instead of the 'L' sound for Leia). So, I asked Lily if she was my baby girl and responded with "No, baby Weia is. I'm your big girl now!" Lily has also told me that she is ready to be a "big brother" and Kota is ready to be a "big sister"...Yes! she has them a bit mixed up..but she knows what is happening in the near future.

Guess what we got tonight?! RAIN!!! yes, that was a bit random...but had to share.

Wedding Debut

Dakota with his buddy, Bro. Bob...our pastor

I think I am at the stage of pregnancy where insomnia hits...because that is most nights for me. It's funny...when it gets dark, I'm wide awake. But during the day, I could sleep at the drop of a hat.

So, I was browsing picture files..and came across the pictures of Dakota in a friend's wedding. This was his wedding debut as ring bearer and he did a Fantastic job!!

Given the reward for doing a great job was a new set of Star Wars Lego's...and Dakota didn't let Grandma forget. As he was walking out with the wedding party, he looked toward Grandma and asked "where's my Lego's ?"

Dakota's Lego Creation

You might ask...What is this?!

Well, it's a football field. Dakota started to make this all by himself...he added the stands for the fans..and raised all the fans arms to show that they were cheering for the team.
He even put the players in their football stance!
He was quite proud of his creation....and Mommy is loving that he is occupying his time since the heat is too extreme for outdoor play.

What a week!

I've got my "eye" on you!

It's been quite a week here...the heat is so intense. I'm trying to remember if the heat would be still be this bad even if I wasn't pregnant..but I know it probably would be. The kids don't last but about 10 minutes at the park in this heat. Usually they are crying when it's time to leave and this week, they are whining to just go home!

I had my 26 wk appointment this week...including the "wonderful" (note my sarcasm here) 3 hour glucose test. And the results are in....my test came back abnormal... :( Meaning they are diagnosing me with Gestational Diabetes this time around. I was borderline with Lily...and I am just above borderline with Leia. I'm so paranoid about what I eat. I don't want to do anything to hurt the baby...or make this baby super big. If you've read headlines or watched the news, there was a 16 lb baby born at our local hospital...his mother had GD. That headline enough has me worried. I see the a different doctor for a diet plan to follow next Friday. Nervous? yes! I guess gone are my late night snacks of fudgsicles for the next 13 weeks! :(

Leia on the other hand has been moving around ALOT more in the last 2 days. Yesterday, Dakota was sitting beside me and I told him that his sister was kicking me...I put his hand on my belly, and she kicked him a few times. His face was pure bliss...too bad I didn't have my camera ready to capture that Kodak moment. The excitement was totally worth mommy getting beat up from the inside. Kota says that his sister likes him...only because she wouldn't really kick when Lily put her hand on my belly. She did kick at her this morning when Lily and I were lying on the couch watching cartoons....so, I think she likes her a little bit :)

got Lego's ???

Dakota newest love started at Christmas time. I got a great deal on a box of Lego's at the Black Friday sale and he has been in love with them ever since.

Last weekend, we found a great deal at a yard sale...a 73 qt tub of Lego's for $30. Now, to the moms (and dads) out there who know how much Lego's cost...this is the deal of the century!!!!

Lily enjoys playing with the Lego's when she can..when Dakota will let her...They make a great time consuming indoor toy for these blistering hot summer days. I'm beginning to think that we will never see double digit temperatures again...but there HAS to be in an end insight!

4th of July fun

Lilyann

Here are some pictures from our 4th of July fun. We were able to see 2 different fireworks display. One in Gilmer sitting in Jed's grandmother's front yard...and the other in our city.

Though Lily plugged her ears for both shows, she had fun...as we all did.

EnJoy!

25 weeks appt

Myself with all the kiddos :)

I had my 25 week appointment this week. According to the doctor, ALL is good. My blood pressure is the best it's ever been. (I had high BP with Dakota and high BP toward the end with Lily)...my weight is excellent. I've only gained 3 lbs so far for the entire pregnancy.

My legs have been hurting alot, but it's not due to swelling. The doctor thinks it has to do with varicose veins. My mom has them and it's hereditary. So, I'm just taking it easy and resting my legs as often as I can...which is the better than the other alternative--> wearing support hose during this extreme heat.

I am going to see the doctor every 2 weeks now...which I thought came pretty fast. Also, the doctor is going to have me do the 3 hour gestational diabetes test in 2 weeks. She said it's probably pointless to do the 1 hour test since I failed it with Lily. Which is fine. I'd rather just pay for 1 test anyway.

Baby Leia was very active...moving from one side of the tummy to the other side playing hide and seek with the doctor. Heart rate was 154bpm.
