Splash, Sprinkle, and "Pretties"

It's the little things in life...that make it all worthwhile. The sunny days, the green grass, the cool water, an inflatable pool, and a garden hose. These all make it the perfect picture to look back on. Dakota splashing away and having fun. Saturday afternoon was spent running, jumping, chasing Lily Lu, trying to get Lily Lu wet, and bouncing balls into the pool.

Miss Lily Lu had her first sprinkler day ever!! Friday was so nice and warm...Jed mowed our front yard and backyard (thank you, Jed!)...so we pulled out last year's sprinkler...hoping it would still work..it was cracked..but you can't get rid of a great sprinkler. I remembering buying this after Dakota turned a year old..it was just after Christmas..and I only paid $1.90 for it at Toys 'r Us. Dakota is 3 now..he still loves this sprinkler...and the best part is that it spins (when Lily's not holding the star in the middle..lol)
And finally...Lily's new obsession..."pretties" Lily likes to have me brush her hair--yes! I can finally brush it now. And put little barrettes in her hair. She always walks off so proud looking for someone to show off her "pretties" to. She kinda holds her hands on her head to make sure it doesn't fall off..and then she usually takes it off..and it ends up in her mouth...But she loves her "pretties"
She looks kinda sad here...she was having a bad day...she is cutting her canines/eye teeth and she's not too happy about it.

LEST WE FORGET said...

You are quite the natural photographer, Joy! The picture of Dakota with the water sprinkles catching up in the air is quite the pic! You should definitely make a large size print of that one! I love it.

Still hectic on this end of the tracks...homeschooling is coming closer to an end for 1st grade...we are on the home stretch. We are all very anxious about the summer. The only reason I am checking blogs this evening is due to uploading pictures to post an update on my blog after 2 months of slacking. Hopefully I will give a catch up in the next day or two.

Anyway got to run, but I love seeing my dear little second cousins in action :). What a treasure they are. I especially loved reading the post about Tax Day which is truly a wonderful reminder about how wonderful a Savior we serve. Praise the Lord for our precious Little Lily.

Love Ya Lots,
Cousin Christy
