Little Miss Lily

Last night...Lilyann sleeping

Lilyann--this morning...she looks exhausted, but is feeling better

Today has been going pretty good for Lily. After all the wonderful progress last night, we were able to get some much needed rest. This morning, we came in to a fussy Lilyann...but she had just had her feeding tube replaced (lily thought she would pull it out for the nurses) Lilyann isn't eating as well as she was yesterday, but she did eat a little for me this morning. We are trying with the bottle and then feeding her the rest through her feeding tube.
Dr. Mendeloff made rounds this morning (just like every morning) and he told the nurses to turn off Lily's heart meds. If Lily keeps a nice heart rhythm through the night tonight, then he will let her leave the ICU....which is awesome news!!

thank you for praying and please continue to pray.

Who would have thought a little baby could still look so beautiful with all those tubes and wires :)! Lilyann is indeed one remarkable little girl. She must have a very special purpose for our Almighty Savior.

I don't know if you have time to answer, but if you do, what are the doctors saying regarding Lily and eating rice cereal again. Did they say only liquids or can you try a thicker substance?

Second question: Is Lily still hot and clammy? The bedding under her head in the "exhausted" picture looks to be wet. Is she sweating a lot or is that just the picture?

We love our little Lily girl lots and lots, and pray everyday for her healing.

We have been throwing the idea around here to go to Florida this summer to see your parents and Tammie and Cathie for a change. It has been so long since I have seen the motel, and I really want Andrew and our girls to go. I don't know your plans for this summer, but I wonder if you and Marge and your families could rendezvous there as well with us. The Disney World adventure has been considered too.

Talk to you Soon. Keep the posts coming.
